Gringo Nordic Ethiopia Shakiso - A coffee from Ethiopia with a clean, complex and very elegant character; a washed Ethiopian coffee at its best.
The coffee is grown at the Shakiso washing station in eastern Guji, which is owned by Abder Maili Keder. The coffee is classified as a washed coffee, even if it has a six-hour soaking time and then a 15-hour extended fermentation before the berries are peeled, fermented and rinsed again. They are then dried on raised beds for 12 days.
The method gives the coffee a juicy character with intense flavors and a clean, elegant finish. In the cup we find flavors of wonderfully ripe peach, citrus and macadamia nut.
