The Baratza Encore coffee grinder is lauded by coffee experts as the best solution for those who wish to brew excellent coffee at home. It is ideal both for those starting their adventure with the black liquor and for more demanding home baristas. Encore is a great value at a low price.
The grinder body has a minimalist design, it is compact and made of plastic taking no fingerprints. It is a type of the on-demand grinder, so grinding takes place on demand - coffee is ground immediately before brewing, directly into the bin or flask. Grinding is started by a pulse button which gives you complete control of the quantity of coffee ground. In addition, Encore is equipped with an ON/OFF switch.
Grinding adjustment of the Encore offers as many as 40 coffee grinding levels, from really fine to coarse. We recommend the grinder for drip coffee use. It is also a great solution for French Press and alternative methods such as Chemex, Aeropress, manual dripper or a siphon. The grinder is equipped in conical burrs made of hardened steel, made in Europe.
The maintenance of the grinder is extremely easy, as it takes just a few seconds to remove the burrs.

I've been into coffee for about 4 years now but it wasn't until I watched James Hoffmann on YT that I found out how important consistent grinds were for the taste of the brew. I did a fair bit of research and this grinder consistently came out as a good "budget" option across several sites (some grinders literally costs thousands!).
I have to say I am extremely satisfied - the machine was excellently packaged, the build quality is great, it has a wide range of grind sizes and the consistency of the grinds is really good. Highly recommend for anyone looking to up their coffee experience without blowing their bank account.
A decent hobbyist grinder
A strong and durable-feeling gadget. Relatively easy to set up, and there are plenty of tips online/YouTube regarding this model. My previous Wilfa was neater, this model fails to direct all the grounds into the grinding cup. It grinds consistently, resulting in tasty coffee.

I bought this understanding that, if I buy an espresso machine in the future, mods can be made to make it stepless and improve the burrs.

I had been considering upgrading my well-serving DeLonghi KG89 to something newer and maybe a bit quieter for a long time. I didn't do a side-by-side comparison, but I would say the Baratza is slightly quieter. The assembly was well-instructed, but somewhat awkward. The device has worked well, and the grind adjustment is handy; the manual provides recommended grind sizes for common needs, like aeropress, chemex, etc. The device is a bit pricey, and it's not completely silent, but I'm satisfied with the purchase.

A coffee grinder with a good price-performance ratio that produces consistent grinds. Used mainly on the finer half of the grind range, and it has performed excellently within that scale. Sufficiently adjustable settings.
LPGood Grinder
It's a good grinder with a solid build. The grind is not super consistent, but it's reasonably good, especially if you're using it for drip coffee makers. If you need a more consistent grind, you should probably go with the Virtuoso or some of the other more expensive models from Baratza.
