The stovetop espresso maker can be found in almost every italian home. With a stovetop espresso maker you can make coffee that is very close to the traditional italian style espresso coffee. The result is an intense, strong coffee full of flavour, and the coffee is also a good base for specialty milk coffees such as cappuccinos.

The father of all stovetop espresso makers, Alfonso Bialetti, designed this classic coffee pot already in 1933. This original Bialetti stovetop coffee maker is still manufactured in Italy.

The Moka Express stovetop coffee maker is made of aluminium and works on all stoves except for induction.

Use finely ground dark roasted espresso coffee in the stovetop makers.

The Bialetti Moka Express is available in many different sizes: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9 and 12 cups. One cup is equivalent of one small espresso, about 40-50 ml of coffee. Always fill the whole coffee funnel with coffee. Choose the right size / sizes for your needs!

Moka pot, 9 cups

The previous pot was "too small", so this size was necessary. I've brewed very tasty coffees with it.

Perfect

Perfect size for one person and of course high quality of the product.

Familiar and safe

I have had several of these over the years. The upper parts of the 3-4 cup pots tend to get stuck to the lower part in an unfortunate way, so they can't be removed without damaging the pot. The same problem does not occur with the 2-cup pots.

Easy to use and a functional classic. The aluminum base may not be the best for Finnish electric stoves, but they are reasonably durable. I intend to continue using these.

Good classic

Even though I hadn't made espresso at home before, I learned quickly and the coffee is good.

Cute pot

The pot is pretty and functional, brews good coffee.

The product is excellent, meeting our expectations and its reputation.
But it would be much more convenient to send it by mail. A private courier does not have access to mailboxes (whereas for a small item like this it would be more than sufficient), you have to schedule an appointment, and you're stuck waiting for them to show up, as the time slots are always very broad.

For two people

The perfect size for making coffee with plenty of milk (caffè latte, latte macchiato…) for two people.

Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker, 1 Cup

Otherwise a good pot, but when emptying, the coffee funnel does not fall out as it should when the bottom part is turned upside down. However, a friendly customer service representative promised to send a new coffee funnel.
I've always wondered why the gasket package also includes a "filter plate." In 40 years of use, I've never needed it. For different sized pots, replacing the gaskets and sometimes the coffee funnel has been sufficient.

works well

Easy to use! However, it requires a bit of practice and knowledge to get it perfect.

moka pot 2 cups

I would have ordered a bigger one, but I trusted that two cups would be enough to make a full mug, but it's definitely not enough for one mug.

This makes really good coffee. It took a couple of tries to learn, but now brewing delicious coffee goes smoothly.

Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker, 4 Cups

The Moka pot is very good! I would like to buy 2 more of the same type, but with 2 cups and 6 cups, because sometimes I need small, sometimes large. I received a high-quality product, plus it is beautiful and offers aesthetic pleasure. I bought it here about 30-40% cheaper than in store.

Bialetti 1 cup moka pot

The only right choice for making a small one-cup espresso. Also suitable for someone who is a bit sensitive to caffeine or does not want a strong dependency.

Classic

It works, meaning it is impractical and produces intense coffee lacking subtlety. I bought it out of curiosity and ended up using Hoffmann's recipe; with an Aeropress filter and pre-boiled water. Additionally, I diluted the brewed coffee with boiling water. I'd say it's not worth the effort, but fun for a hobby. It works for making espresso-based milk drinks as long as you either dilute it with boiling water or use heated milk. For making a regular cup with cold milk from the fridge, you'll just get a cold cup.

Extra coffee.

I've been using a Bialetti Mika 6 cup Moka pot for some time and often on the weekends wishing I had more. For me the 12 cup is a good size for a whole morning, It works very well about 50g of grinds half a basket comes out just right. One formula is the amount of water to boil in milliliters divided by 15 gives you the amount of coffee grinds in grams. A great size guide I found https://bigcupofcoffee.com/moka-pot-size-guide/
A six cup makes about a 12oz mug a 12 cup Moka makes of course 24oz of coffee.

Moka Pot

Basic Bialetti, for me this 6-cup size is a good fit.

Product review of Bialetti 1 Cup Espresso Maker

I was really satisfied with the product! I've also used older Bialetti pots. The product had improved in such a way that, for example, all the coatings, including the coating inside the bottom water pot(!), were very good. That's what I was most satisfied with. The pot was flawless overall. =)

Very good coffee

Bialetti Moka Express Stovetop Espresso Maker, 6 Cups

It seems Bialetti's quality has dropped drastically. Compared to the old models from the same manufacturer, which were much higher quality. There are machining burrs, thin material, and unfinished workmanship. I would have returned it if it hadn't been given as a gift.

Good coffee in a simple way!

Good coffee easily and quickly. Also takes up little space and is easy to clean.

Praise for the Moka pot

I'm a heavy coffee drinker, and with the little Bialetti pot, I brew myself a booster for awakening. This happens a couple of hours after my actual morning coffee. For a change, I drink it mixed with a splash of hot milk, but most often just as it is. The pot is a charming eye-catcher on the kitchen shelf.
