Surprisingly heavy, perhaps I should have bought the smaller version since I rarely need to make multiple cups at once. But it is sturdy and stays nicely on top of a relatively large coffee cup without needing to hold it, exactly what I needed in that sense. The tubular part under the round support base is quite long, so you need a fairly tall container to make coffee. It definitely matches the description and feels well-made.

Good filter holder that works with both carafe, cup, and thermos. Possibly a bit heavy and can easily tip over when placed on the counter.
