This stainless steel french press from Grunwerg has a double wall insulated structure that keeps the coffee hot for a longer time. The stainless steel body is also a more durable alternative to glass french press coffee makers. Three different sizes available: 350 ml, 800 ml and 1 liter.
How to prepare coffee in a French press
Put the ground coffee in the pot and pour the hot (92-96c) water in the pot. Let the coffee brew for 3-4 minutes and after that press the ground coffee down with the plunger.
Use 6 grams of ground coffee for every 100 ml of water. Use a coarse grinding, preferably slightly coarser than the drip brewer grinding.

A well-functioning coffee brewing tool that makes good-tasting coffee. The coffee stays warm in this stainless steel pot. However, I always brew a small amount at a time. I use a grind suitable for a French press.

Based on multiple uses, this is a really good French press. Easier to keep clean than a coffee maker. No plastic parts, just metal, which gives a durable impression. The coffee is good and consistent if you measure the grounds and weigh the water (there's no measurement scale on the pot). It would undoubtedly be a five-star product, but there were a couple of small dents on the surface and, contrary to the manufacturer's information, the pot only holds just under 700 g of water up to the bottom of the spout when filled, so I'm deducting one star for these. So, 4/5 and a warm recommendation for this French press.
Perhaps Crema could measure whether other similar products truly hold the amount of liquid the manufacturer promises and, if necessary, update the product details if more discrepancies are found? Also, it might be worth asking the manufacturer what exactly the 800 ml product description refers to, so the consumer gets an accurate understanding of the product before making a purchase decision.

Best purchase in years! Works better than the glass versions, keeps the drink warm for at least an hour, if not two.

Beautiful, pleasant to use, neat, works well, and keeps the coffee warm during brewing. The smallest size would be easy to take with you on a trip, and since it's all steel, there are no easily breakable parts. I recommend it!

This is a nicely made French Press but unfortunately I can't give it five stars.
The most glaring issue is the stated capacity is misleading. The jug will only hold 800ml if you fill it up right to the brim, so you don't get anything like 800ml of coffee out of it. If you fill it to 2.5cm below the rim as the manufacturer advises, you get around 700ml. That was disappointing. I would have ordered the larger size if I'd known.
I like the style but the finish could be better, the polish on the jug is rather hazy in places (somewhere between brushed steel and high polish). This is especially noticeable around the handle.
There is a section of the lid shaped to facilitate pouring but you need to look closely to see it. The little arrow Grunwerg put on the lid on some of their other models to indicate where the slope is, would have been welcome. However, the slope isn't very effective and you can easily pour without turning the lid at all.
Performance-wise I have no complaints. If you pre-heat the pot you'll have hot coffee for at least an hour. The outer body stays cool to the touch and only the area around the lid gets hot. The filter is a good fit and I get far fewer grounds in my cup than I did with the Bodum jug I had previously.
It makes a great tasting cup of coffee and despite the issues I've noted above, I'd still say it offers good value for money, but if you want more than 700ml of coffee you will need to buy a larger size.

The pot is beautiful and adds a slight silver lining to an ordinary coffee moment. With this, I've taken to using "proper" coffee cups again; a mug is too clumsy with this and ruins the moment.
Good size for a single-person household.
However, it does not function as a thermos jug.

The French press itself is perfectly fine, but the product was smeared in industrial grease, I had to take it completely apart and wash it in a large amount of soapy water to remove the grease. This should not be the case with a cooking product.
Decent pot
The pot seems to be quite decent. The smaller pot purchased years ago does seem to be of higher quality. This one seems to have less iron.
The craftsmanship is good, and the coffee stays hot for as long as it needs to be in there.
I believe the price/quality ratio is still good.
Single cup press
Makes good coffee, stays hot. Bought it for evening coffee so that I only drink 1 cup.
