A small downside is that the spring attachment is a bit tight. However, it works as it should.

I have a Hario Syphon which came only with cloth and metal filter, so I thought I could try the paper ones as well. Produces high quality coffee, it is slightly different and I enjoy having all three (but my favorite would still be the cloth filter). Still, a nice addition.

In the absence of these, you can cut a piece of regular filter paper into any shape. As long as it extends beyond the edges of the holder, it will do the job.
