A solid everyday sencha, not a special lot
Works well as an everyday tea — fairly mild and consistent. It is a blend from several harvests and cultivars. I got this information by asking the seller, and the response was exceptionally thorough, even though these details should already have been on the product page. If you are looking for a single-batch first flush with a specific picking date, this is not the product for that — but for everyday use, it works well.
Practical tip: the cardboard tube protects from light, but the cellophane bag inside is not airtight. If you do not drink the bag within a couple of weeks, transfer the tea to a tightly sealed opaque container.
