Urnex Cafiza 2 Cleaning Powder for Coffee Machines 900 g
The Urnex Cafiza cleaning powder is designed for cleaning of espresso machines. The concentrated formula eliminates residue in group heads, valves, and lines. The foaming and solubility are balanced for powerful cleaning and optimal rinsing. Use in daily backflush cleaning of your espresso machine.
For Use on Traditional Espresso Machines
- Insert blind filter in the portafilter and add 1/2 teaspoon (3 g) of Cafiza powder in the filter basket. Insert portafilter into group head.
- Activate brew cycle for 10 seconds. Stop 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
- Remove portafilter. Activate brew cycle and rinse portafilter in stream of water from group head. Stop cycle.
- Insert portafilter into group head. Repeat step 2 without Cafiza powder 5 times.
- Make and discard a cup of espresso to ensure no residue remains.
Soaking
- Soak filters and metal of portafilter for 30 minutes in 1 teaspoon (6 g) of Cafiza Powder per 1 litre of hot water.
- Rinse with clean hot water.

Easy to use and effective cleaning agent

This cleaning agent works excellently for cleaning certain parts of espresso machines. External chrome parts should only have brief contact (max 10-15 min), internal brass parts, filter baskets, etc., work well to be completely clean and can stay longer in the solution. Do not 'backflush' too often with this or similar agents (once every 6-8 weeks) as it can dry out, remove the grease in the group head, and then you have to disassemble and re-grease the internal parts of the group head mechanism, etc.

This is a must have if you want to make sure you’re coffee gear like portafilters and Drippers will last for a long time and remove old coffee smell. Does the job and easy to use! And you don’t need much so definitely something you’ll be able to have for a long time before running out!
