The Urnex Cafiza E31 cleaning tablets are designed for cleaning of espresso machines. The concentrated formula eliminates residue in group heads, valves, and lines. The tablet form provides easy and controlled dosing into the delivery chamber or the group head. The tablet can also be used for cleaning traditional espresso machines and can be used to perform backflush cleaning.
For Use on Automatic Espresso Machines
Follow manufacturer's maintenance and cleaning instructions. Use one Cafiza tablet in the coffee machine.
For Use on Traditional Espresso Machines
- Insert blind filter in the portafilter and add one Cafiza tablet. Insert portafilter into group head.
- Activate brew cycle for 10 seconds. Stop 10 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
- Remove portafilter. Activate brew cycle and rinse portafilter in stream of water from group head. Stop cycle.
- Insert portafilter into group head. Repeat step (2) without Cafiza tablet 5 times.
- Make and discard a cup of espresso to ensure no residue remains.

Great value for money
Tried this as replacement for original Sage tablets, fit great, clean just as good as the original ones and dissolve even easier (original ones left the residue after 2 cycles, these dissolved without any issues). The quantity for given price is also a great factor, these are going to last for years.

Coffee machine: Miele CM5300. The original Miele tablets were expensive, so I decided to try these. After cleaning, the film coating of the tablet was visible at the outlet, indicating that the tablet hadn't dissolved completely. I would recommend an extra rinse after the degreasing program for this machine model.
