VacuVin's first product was a vacuum pump based on the name of the company, a vacuum pump, also referred to as a "wine keeper". The oxygen is sucked out from the opened wine bottle with the vacuum pump, which would otherwise ruin the wine in a few days (wine begins to react with oxygen and turns into vinegar).
