Take your coffee brewing to the next level with the innovative AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap. This revolutionary add-on employs a valve activated by pressure to eliminate dripping and enhance your control over the brewing procedure.

Unlike alternative options, this cap seamlessly fits AeroPress Original, AeroPress Go, and AeroPress Clear coffee makers, accommodating both metal and paper filters – whether used together or independently.

**Not compatible with AeroPress XL coffee maker. **

Good and functional accessory for the AeroPress

High-quality product, and easier to tighten securely than the original part. A slight minus for being a bit too deep height-wise, as occasionally the cap has sunk into the cup and caused some splashing.

Not quite flawless flow

Same concept as the Fellow Prismo, but the internet rumors are true: the Prismo - as a 3rd party - add-on for the Aeropress is still slightly better (I would be eager to test the new Flow Cap though). I wonder if putting cloth filters inside it will improve the game or not…

Not recommended

The idea is that the coffee should pass through a check valve that opens when the user applies a sufficiently high pressure on the contents with the plunger. Unfortunately, liquid leaks through the screw mount on the sides and it becomes terribly messy.

If you're brewing directly on the cup, you can still use it since it leaks into the cup, but I definitely had higher expectations for an official product. Paying 300 bucks for a piece of plastic that almost does its job feels mediocre. Hardly what I would call 'flow control'.

Essential

Perfect fit, quite tight. Essential accessory in my view.

AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap

Works pretty well, holds hot water as it should, I do no longer invert Aeropress so far.

Does not fit on AeroPress 2019

Rubbish

Good but

A bit tricky to get the grounds out, otherwise completely perfect, lets the coffee steep without dripping.

AeroPress Flow Control Filter Cap

Leaks a little

P.S.
Leaks a little when using a reusable filter

Leaks a bit when using a reusable filter that is obviously a little thicker than paper. For a reusable flow control cap, the Fellow Prismo is a better choice in my opinion.

The idea is good, but the execution is lacking.

The cap does not attach tightly to the AeroPress, causing coffee to drip out from the connection between the cap and the AeroPress. The problem occurs with both the clear and older models of the AeroPress. Fellow's product resolves this issue with a rubber seal that comes with the Prism's metal filter, but the AeroPress cap/filter does not have any seal. The price is also way too high for the features and quality. It's better to invest money in the Fellow Prism, which includes a filter and a cap in the same package.
