Hario Canister is the effective and functional combination of a grinder and an airtight glass container.
Despite its rustic charm and plain look, the grinder offers some new innovations. The grinder's burrs can be covered with cap made of cork, and the lid can be locked airtight. This keeps the fresh for longer by protecting against loss of aroma. Made of high quality Japanese glass, metal and wood, the grinder is equipped with adjustable ceramic burrs which can be adapted to the coffee brewing method. In addition, the silicon cover fixed to the base of the glass provides stability when grinding.

Functional grinder
Easy to use, the glass container is convenient for grinding a larger batch at once. Using it doesn't require much force, even for espresso grind. The only downside is the handle fastening screw loosening during use, it needs to be tightened once per grind.

To the best of my ability and trying different fineness settings (which are very limited) the powder was never evenly grinded, there were always bits and pieces in the powder and it was simply too course. I wouldn't recommend buying this regardless of the low price tag. However, I have to mention that staff of Crema was very nice and gave me the option to buy a different product with a discount once I contacted them and explained my issue. If you want a good grinder, there are options on this shop which are infinitely better.

A typical Chinese product, where the finish is lacking and the quality is not achieved! The bottom of the grinder, i.e., the glass jar with the lid, doesn't really seal tightly. The idea was probably to have it completely airtight in the jar where the freshly ground coffee is. The glass jar is also too light and too small, giving it an unsteady feel. As for the grinding part, there is room for improvement by clarifying the settings for the coarseness of the ground beans. Currently, one has to guess since there are no markings. As mentioned, a typical Chinese product where quality is compromised.

Stylish and feels like a quality device. Criticisms come from the loose hinge on the lid and the loosening screw knob. It would be appropriate for the importer to include a washer. Now you have to put the tightening washer on the knob yourself.

Works well
Convenient grinder. The only small issue is that to adjust the coarseness, you need to loosen the fastening nut on the handle and turn the locking part under the handle. The nut can't be tightened enough by hand, so it loosens by itself during grinding. I replaced the original nut with a wing nut. Now it stays tight and is easy to open without a tool.

I gave this as a gift to someone who wanted their first coffee grinder, and many coffees have already been brewed with different grind settings, a really excellent purchase. Small and pretty appearance.
HerbStylish but not the smartest
Bought it as an extra coffee grinder for brew/aeropress. It grinds fairly quickly, as well as evenly and finely enough for that purpose, but I wouldn't use it for espresso.
It's also one of the nicest-looking grinders I've seen and I like to keep it out. However, unlike for example the Skerton, it's difficult to take apart and has more parts that are sensitive to water, which makes it a bit more complicated to clean. Additionally, the top fits like a heavy lid with a spinning arm, so it's a bit hard to get the ground coffee out.
Therefore, I'm completely satisfied to have it as a stylish extra grinder, but there are better options for those looking for something functional.

I wanted a new manual coffee grinder to replace my old electric one, which was on its last legs. This grinder immediately caught my attention with its beautiful and traditional appearance, and no other coffee grinder would do.
The Hario coffee grinder is easy to use and the parts feel high-quality. Finding the right grind size takes a moment, but soon you get a good feel for it. The only downside is that the nut, which tightens the handle and other parts together, loosens relatively easily when grinding coffee beans. Fortunately, it doesn't cause any big problems as long as you remember to tighten the nut occasionally.
I am very satisfied with my purchase and I believe it will bring joy for many years.

Nice and solid design
Works well for its purpose. I knew when I bought it that it's not the fastest or most efficient grind due to hand grinding, but it is easy to adjust the grind level and works perfectly fine. Feels very sturdy and high quality.

Good beginner's grinder. The only thing I realized while using this grinder was the small size of the opening where the beans are inserted. An adjustable lid or similar solution would have been better. Still, this is a really good and easy-to-use aid for a novice coffee grinder! Fast delivery. Special thanks for that! The grinder mentioned that it is Japanese, but some parts of the product were nevertheless made in China -> these were however specified in the manual.
