Excellent basic coffee

Dark, full-bodied, consistent quality, no bitterness

Good coffee

Our family also likes this. This is versatile too.

Tasty and flavorful

Strong and "mocha-like" chocolatey espresso, with just the right amount of bitterness and sharpness in addition to the mocha sweetness. Balanced and flavorful.

Passalacqua Black Vulcan 500 g Coffee Beans

A very pleasant and suitably "dark" tasting coffee

Just not to my taste

Perhaps the 70% robusta brings too much bitterness for me. Aroma is good, clearly a great coffee - for someone else.

Finally some strength in the coffee

Finally, I found the right blend, 30% Arabica and 70% Robusta, and properly dark roasted with good crema, just perfect. Otherwise, I often find that there is too high a proportion of Arabica in many coffee varieties, which makes it a bit too "mild" for me. The Neapolitans have got it just right.

didn't really taste good, the aftertaste was strange.

A pleasant surprise

I wasn't expecting anything poor or mediocre, having tasted the same brand's Cremador espresso, but this managed to provide the taste experience I seek from espressos. A full-bodied, rounded strong flavor, but not bitter or sharp. Good long aftertaste. Surprisingly tolerates (requires?) very fine grind settings without clogging the filter. Gold Vulcan still untested. I wonder how it will surprise?

Excellent as espresso and long coffee

An excellent coffee both as an espresso and as a long coffee. The price-quality ratio is really spot on. Dark, oily roast met expectations.

A surprising discovery!

Strong, yet round and smooth taste. Rich crema. Not acidic at all. Could it perhaps be a bit? I was surprised that the water passed through even with the grinder's finest setting in about 20 seconds. With other coffee beans or types, such a fine grind clogs the machine. I wonder what causes this?
