Good and bad
Otherwise a good gadget, but there should be a seal between the lid and the body.
Poorly designed and functions poorly
As simple as the operation principle of such a gadget may seem, it still involves certain requirements. When the lid part with a steel mesh is not screwed onto the container but only held by a couple of small pins/recesses (one of which is visible in the picture), the lid is not airtight. As a result, despite the plastic cap "that keeps moisture out and aromas in," scents inevitably escape (if that is a concern for some). The plastic cap actually makes the situation worse: when placed over the steel mesh, it always generates some air pressure, no matter how slowly you press it down. This pressure then causes fine cocoa powder to fly out from the gap in the metal lid (it took me a while to figure out why cocoa always ends up on clothes and tables). This likely explains the comment "It gets the job done, but something's amiss. Could the mesh be a bit too loose?" The issue would obviously disappear if you didn't use the plastic lid, but then the cover would be pointless. The correct solution would be to have the metal lid part secured to the container with a tight screw.
A bit too big
Functional and nice-looking, but due to its large size, it's a bit cumbersome.
