Varia VS3 2nd Generation
The Varia VS3 (Varia Stepless 38 mm) Electric Coffee Grinder utilises a sloped geometry with a 76.5° acute angle. Using this geometry also allows for ideal zero retention conditions as well as a better workflow in relation to adding coffee to the hopper, making grind adjustments, and 180° access to the dosing cup.
VS3 2ND GENERATION UPDATES:
- VS3 motor: Full stainless steel gearbox, precision machining of all critical parts, the motor is mounted to the body using a fixed position interface.
- CNC machining of parts: Every part is machined to 0.02 mm tolerance and each driveshaft is also machined to 0.015 mm tolerances to ensure ultimate alignment and concentricity of the burrs.
- Single body outer burr (no assembly required): There is no more assembly required of the housing; the burr is made of a single piece of stainless steel and has the locating ears built into the part.
- Motor mounting fixed position: The motor is now set in a fixed position before fixing into place using screws. As a result, the motor alignment has a precise location within 0.02 mm every single time and the grind alignment improves drastically in terms of concentricity.
- Easy servicing with terminal plugs for electrical components: Each electrical component is now hardwired from factory and fitted with wiring sets including plug in terminals for connections.
- New hopper removes internal paintwork: A new hopper design removes paint form the internal walls of the hopper to ensure an easy to clean surface and in addition reduces static charge conducted through the paintwork. There is now zero paint that the coffee contacts from hopper to dosing cup.

IMPORTANT NOTE: VS3 has been made to handle both espresso and filter grind sizes, however VS3 may find onmi/light roasts challenging at espresso settings (depending on the roast degree and type of bean), please ensure to take the upmost care while grinding light roasted coffees and ensure that you feed the beans in slowly or adjust your dose to suit a slightly coarser grind size.

Amazing
The best grinder suitable for my everyday use. Quality vs price one of the best in the market.
N.G.T.Varia grinder
Everything great and fast.
M.G.Quiet small single-doser
I upgraded my grinder from the Wilfa cgws-130b model and have been extremely satisfied.
It feels like a quality, surprisingly heavy piece of equipment as a whole. There don't seem to be any plastic parts in this device at all!
I mostly grind beans for filter and moka pot coarseness, and the result has been very consistent grinding and perhaps even better taste. I wanted to try how fine the bean gets on the finest setting, and it looks pretty small in granule size. I don't have micrometers, so I'm just evaluating visually.
This is a much quieter device than that Wilfa, and that's a big plus in my book since I'm a bit sensitive to loud noises.
It also seems easy to keep clean per use with the included bellows, but also with a more in-depth clean, perhaps once a week. I own a small blower, which is a bit more effective at getting coffee residues out than the bellows.
Overall, I feel like I got good value for my money in the 400e price range. So, if you're considering jumping from a roughly hundred-euro device to something a bit better and like to dose beans per drink, I would dare to recommend this.
Decent coffee grinder
Sturdy and surprisingly quiet grinder. Nice appearance, but the product images do not show the large power adapter that ends up lying next to the grinder. The coarseness adjustment scale is from 1-10, but in reality 1-20, so you have to remember the setting you adjusted the grinder to.
M.A.Big upgrade
Upgraded from my Wilfa wsg2 and the quality of the grind is much better. Can taste the difference as well.
It's not as loud as other grinds as it grinds slower but that's a big plus for me. It's simple and easy to use and I find it esthetics very pleasing.
Highly recommend
Varia VS3 Coffee Grinder 2nd Gen, Black
Fantastic shop and grinder!
D.B.Best Grinder for Aeropress and V60
It is a wonderful grinder with nothing to envy from the conical burrs of a good Mahlkonig or a good Mazzer. It has an adjustable grind setting that is very useful. The only thing I don't like is that you have to turn it many times before you can find the best option on the first extraction.
Bcoffee BarcelonaBeautiful!
Being a greenhorn when it comes to espresso making I bought the Varia due to its price! After reading reviews I knew I was getting something special and competitive! Easy handling and small footprint! So far i love this grinder!!! And it is a beautiful piece to showcase in your kitchen!
M.A.Seems like the real deal
note, Im a beginner rocking a basic expreso machine, the delonghi ec685
this machime is on the small side so i was looking something same-sized or small, on this the varia is right, is quite small.
the second factor is something would be still good while i progress into the hobby, with the upgradable burrs, i expect to need to upgrade in a long time, if at all.
Excellent coffee grinder
The idea of an electric grinder had crossed my mind, as I've been manually grinding by hand until now. Since I drink coffee daily and sometimes during work breaks, I needed to speed up the process, although hand grinding does have its therapeutic charm.
Varia seemed high quality right out of the box. It is heavy and well-finished. The device might not be the fastest grinder, but it hasn't mattered much since there's time to do other preparations while it grinds the beans. The noise from the grinder isn't very disturbing, at least for me. The grind result is very fine, especially on the espresso scale, even finer than what I've achieved with 1Zpresso. Initially, the device was quite static, so coffee grounds easily stuck to the device's walls and around the tube. The included sprayer helps reduce static. The included bellows effectively clear out any leftover grounds inside the machine.
The lid and the bowl are conveniently magnetic and snap into place easily. The adjustment dial is quite stiff, so it doesn't wander while grinding, which was apparently an issue with the first version.
Using the Varia is best when it's simple, and it will likely be grinding for years to come. Varia also takes up nicely little space on the table.
Brilliant little grinder
My local coffee shop got sent a review grinder and said it was incredible for home use and cheaper than a lot of the competition, so I looking into it. It looks great, only issue was that it's got an EU plug not a UK one mad changing the plug voids warranty. I've decided to use it with an adapter for the time being. I had a cheapy plastic grinder before that was so crazily loud. This one is so quiet in comparison. The grind is so uniform and can grind crazily fine. It also looks great in the kitchen which the other one definitely didn't. Huge improvement and I love that the basket and lid is all magnetised. Highly recommend.
D.W.Great Shop for every coffe enthusiast
Everything was perfect, fast shipping and tracking. The product was well packed and protected. I would recomend this shop!!

Great Design, Great machine
G.D.Small single dosing grinder with cool design
Really cool designed mill. Some larger parts of coffee beans husk get into the coffee powder at the end of the grinding process.
