Customer reviews
Solid container
Solid and sturdy container for the coffee before it ends up in the portafilter. Can withstand being dropped on the floor or other rough handling.
There are others at a lower price, but they are far from this quality.
If I needed another one, would I go for the same container? Absolutely.
Acaia Portafilter Dosing Cup Medium
Really overpriced and the inside of the cup is not finished at all. Lathe marks visible. There's no "anti-static" coating and coffee grounds stick to the cup.
Might have to polish it with some polish.
On the plus side, durability. Far surpasses Amazon's 10€ dosing cups. Lathed from one piece and the rim is soldered/welded very neatly and is seamless.
Will certainly last.
Hello! Acaia should be known as a brand specifically for their well-finished products. It sounds like a lower-quality unit has ended up with you somehow. Could you please contact our customer service so we can investigate further?
Dosing cup
Works well on portafilters with 58mm diameter. Unfortunately, some coffee "very finely" sticks due to static electricity even though the surface is supposed to be treated. If you want a dosing cup that will last a lifetime, buy this one.
MagnusDosing cup
Works well if you have a 58mm portafilter. Feels good in the hand. It is supposed to have an "anti-static finish" inside so that the coffee grounds do not stick, but they do stick, so you have to wipe it out regularly. I hadn't counted on that.
