The Bodum Chambord is a true original – the classic French press coffee maker designed in the 1950's. And Bodum still produces it with the same craftsmanship they used way back with the original.
The frame and lid, made of steel, undergo several chrome plating processes to obtain a durable shiny surface that will last for many years of intense use. The only difference in the production process since the fifties is our commitment to the highest standards of environmentally correct manufacturing, which is especially important during the chrome plating process.
The black Chambord polypropylene handle comes in a matte finish that not only gives a comfortable grip while serving but adds to the classic quality of the design.
The French press system has always been the simplest and ultimate way of brewing an excellent cup of coffee. Using fresh coarse ground beans with water between 92 and 96 degrees celsius brings out the very best in all types of coffee. Add the coffee and the hot water, let it brew for 3-4 minutes and enjoy a perfect cup of coffee, with style!

It's kind of okay, but at this price, I expected something of higher quality. The filter/screen part is pretty poor, it works decently when pushing down, but pulling it up gets stuck and it's very tight/difficult as the mesh part sticks and catches on the glass in a strange way.

The product has proven to be sturdy and durable. Previously, I used a cheaper Bodum product, which had a structurally weak plunger (contained plastic parts) and lasted a year. This one clearly seems more durable. Additionally, the plunger moves more smoothly.

A high-quality classic pot. Stylish in appearance but slightly laborious for everyday use compared to a drip coffee maker. It's strange that the pot doesn't have a measurement scale to aid in dosing water.

I ordered the 4-cup pot to go with the 12-cup pot. I received a defective unit, which was replaced with a new one.
I am very satisfied that I ordered the Monday piece from Crema, as they demonstrated excellent customer service.
The previous one had been used daily for 5 years, was dishwasher safe, and sometimes the coffee was left standing for a longer time. It worked flawlessly, and I have strong confidence in this newer unit too!

It would have been an excellent French press if it had stayed together. After three weeks of use, all removable parts had come off at least once, both from the metal frame and the filter system. Subsequently, I had to constantly be on alert; would the handle come off in my hand, would the glass part come loose from the frame, is the filter intact. Until my dishwashing vigilance slipped, the glass carafe slipped from the frame and shattered on the countertop into a thousand (bleep) pieces. Shame.

Good device with parts that can be removed and apparently spare parts are available. It feels durable. The liter pot makes a couple of cups for two people and one cup each for four people.

This time the filter lasted up to 2 months before it became difficult to move in the pot again. It's a shame, Bodum pots have otherwise been good.

Feels like a high-quality small French press. I think it's best suited for one person: you can get small tastings for two (when using mugs). The filter seems to work well.
KookooGreat small pot
Easy to maintain and practical coffee-making tool. The lid is also easy to wash since there are no parts to disassemble, unlike in a certain larger French press. The handle is nice and large enough. Excellent for two drinkers, though a single drinker can also make a batch. For three, it only suffices for tasting.
The fifth star was missed for two reasons. 1. Even when it was quite new, the filter was difficult to pull back up. Consequently, its edges started bending quite soon, and I considered getting spare parts. Otherwise, the filter is still in quite good condition, so the bending probably doesn't bother terribly, but of course, I'd prefer it to maintain its shape better and longer. It might be that without this tightness, the coffee would be thicker and muddier, and you wouldn't get as good pressure for pressing the coffee.
2. Why is there a plastic extra filter in the lid? It might even increase the risk of pouring coffee past the rim.

Feels like a high-quality pot. Lost one star due to the filter attachment mechanism. Certainly works, but unnecessarily difficult to use.

Good pot
Overall functional, high-quality feel and makes good coffee. The only downside is the lack of a measurement scale, you'll have to approximate the water amounts if you don't want to measure with a separate measuring cup.
