Gringo Nordic San Andres is a sweet and elegant specialty coffee from the Magaña family’s San Andres farm in El Salvador. It is made from the Pacamara variety, a cross between Pacas and Maragogipe, and has a fruity flavour profile with notes of sweet citrus, strawberries and ripe stone fruit.

The coffee is honey-processed, meaning the sticky layer of mucilage around the beans is left on during drying. The beans are dried slowly on raised beds under shade nets, bringing out the coffee’s natural sweetness and subtle fermented notes.

Gringo Nordic has worked with the Magaña family since the beginning and buys their entire harvest. Each year, they plan together how to process the coffee to bring out the beans’ best qualities. San Andres is the result of a close collaboration between the roastery and the family, and this is the first honey-processed harvest from the farm’s Pacamara trees.
