The Mercedes of kettles

I bought this kettle to replace the Fellow Stagg Pro EKG.

The poor quality of the Fellow, which showed up for example in the paint peeling, the lid knob being mounted crooked, as well as the display acting up and the temperature fluctuating wildly, just to mention a few faults, forced me to look into products from other manufacturers.

Timemore has a good reputation for making high-quality products at very competitive prices, and after looking into it more closely, I ended up choosing this Pro X model.

+The overall quality level of the Pro X, especially compared to the Stagg.
+Price
+Sufficient heating power and temperature accuracy to 0.5 degrees.
+The capacity is fine; the minimum level is around 500 ml and the maximum is 900 ml.
+No external buttons or adjustment dials (except for the main power switch at the back of the base); the appearance is minimalist and stylish.
+The pouring speed is easy to control, the flow is really good, and there are no so-called accidental drips at the end of pouring like with the Stagg, for example.
+The touch controls and slider are responsive, and quick temperature adjustment by sliding as well as fine adjustment with the + and - touch controls work very well.
+The quick temperature selection directly to 100 degrees by holding the Hold button longer is a handy feature.
+The kettle lid is really good and feels high-quality compared to the Fellow. It clicks into place on its own, and you don't need to use any force or effort to put it in place. The lid also stays securely in place during heating and pouring; you can tilt the kettle to the extreme without fear of the lid leaking, unlike with the Fellow.
+At least there is no visible flow restrictor in the kettle, unlike the Fellow.
+Detachable power cord
+Heats up to 100°C; the range is 40-100°C.

-The buzzer is a relatively loud beep, and it cannot be turned off at all.
-The volume markings on the kettle could be a bit larger, and in my opinion they were placed in a better spot on the Stagg, although this is very much a matter of taste.
-The handle design divides opinion, and the handle's "handedness" may be awkward for some; fortunately, at least according to Timemore's website, a left-handed version should also be available. Personally, I prefer the Stagg's handle.
-There are too many stickers, although fortunately they can all be removed relatively easily. In addition, the excessive branding on one side of the kettle may not appeal to everyone.

If you're looking to buy a gooseneck kettle, the Pro X is a no-brainer choice.
