Perfect!
S.O.The Mercedes-Benz of kettles
I bought this kettle to replace my Fellow Stagg Pro EKG.
The Fellow's poor quality—which showed in things like the paint peeling, the lid knob being mounted crooked, the display acting up, and the temperature fluctuating wildly, just to name a few issues—led me to look into products from other manufacturers.
Timemore has a good reputation for making high-quality products at very competitive prices, and after doing some more research, I settled on this Pro X model.
+The overall build quality of the Pro X, especially compared with the Stagg.
+Price
+Good heating power and temperature accuracy to within 0.5 degrees.
+The capacity is fine: the minimum fill level is around 500 ml and the maximum is 900 ml.
+No external buttons or adjustment dials (apart from the main power switch at the back of the base); the design is minimalist and stylish.
+It's easy to control the pouring speed, the flow is really good, and there are no accidental drips at the end of the pour like you get with the Stagg, for example.
+The touch controls and slider are responsive. Quickly adjusting the temperature by sliding, then fine-tuning it with the + and - touch buttons, works very well.
+Holding the Hold button to jump straight to 100°C is a handy feature.
+The lid feels good and high-quality compared with the Fellow's. It clicks into place on its own, without requiring any force or effort. It also stays securely in place while heating and pouring, and you can tilt the kettle all the way without worrying about the lid leaking, unlike with the Fellow.
+At least, there doesn't appear to be a flow restrictor in the kettle, unlike the Fellow.

-The buzzer is a fairly loud beep, and there's no way to turn it off.
-The capacity markings on the kettle could be a little larger. I think they were in a better position on the Stagg, although that's very much a matter of taste.
-The lid knob could be a little taller to make it easier to grip.
-The handle design is divisive, and its handedness may be awkward for some. Fortunately, according to Timemore's website, there should also be a left-handed version of the kettle. Personally, I prefer the Stagg's handle.
-There are too many stickers. Fortunately, they're all fairly easy to remove. Also, the prominent branding on one side of the kettle may not appeal to everyone.
If you're looking to buy a gooseneck kettle, the Pro X is a no-brainer.
